I walked 5 miles this morning before I got a ride to town. I picked up two days worth of food and found some potatoes and veggies this time. I think Friday mornings are fresh veggie days at the market.
Last night was freezing, and this morning the mountains were covered in snow. The rivers are still high, but today the weather cleared up. If we get a couple of days of no rain the rivers will come down. Tomorrow the Espolon should be good to fish.
Yesterday I took a six-mile hike up along the Futaleufu on a cow path. The scenery was spectacular but it was very wet. Waterproof boots are very important.
Here are a few pictures, they do not do justice to the mountains.
